does stephen sing a song called "When You Were Away" and if so, what album is it on? yes, he sings it. it's not on an album, as cara said, but was sent out as a special "bonus" clip during the comedy central stand-up showdown. he also "premiered" it, if you will, on opie and anthony way back when. i recorded it off of the radio, but managed to lose the tape that it was on ;( bummer.

"i...could...sniff all your underwear, dress in your clothes, pleasure myself inside your pantyhose! i know it's not easy to leave me alone, but it's more fun when you're not home. yeah it's more fun when you're not home."
yeah i have that one from when he won that contest. but i'm reluctant to offer it to you to download. i remember i got it from a link on the website, but i don't remember if you could only get to it through the e-mail he sent or what.
maybe if you ask him he'll be nice and hook you up.

i've seen it pop up on winmx when i searched for Stephen Lynch, and i downloaded it, but i have a reason, i don't listen to the opie and anthony show because i don't get it on my radio, and i didn't vote for him in the standup showdown so, that's why i downloaded it, i hope you aren't mad at me for getting it free, Sorry

Could someone send it to me? I voted for Stephen in the showdown, but that was before I joined the mailing list.
Thx!

actually, it wasn't something he sent to the mailing list in return for voting. that would be oddly republican. it went out to the mailing list after he won the showdown. the difference is small, but someone has to be the grammarian and semantics police 'round these parts

heres the email that was sent out with the link: From : Stephen Lynch <pushead@aol.com> To : List Member Subject : Thanks, and here's your song.... Date : Sun, 9 Feb 2003 20:48:48 -0800 YEAH!!!! You guys are the best! Thanks everyone for voting everyday for my special on Comedy Central's stand-up showdown. Your support and diligence paid off and put me at number one. For all your help, you can go to www.stephenlynch.com/thankyou/ to download "While You're Away." I hope you like it....
I've met many of you on this tour and you've told me that you were voting every day, and for that I am truly appreciative. I've also had a blast on the road the past 6 months, touring schools with my buddy Teich and now clubs with my bro Drew. Thanks also to all of you who've come out to support the tour. It's grueling work but amazingly fun and exciting.
Those of you whose city I have not yet made it to, check the appearances page of my website; I should be in your area soon, so hide your big fat friends and come on out! Thanks again, everybody! You are the best!!!

i don't listen to the opie and anthony show because i don't get it on my radio, No one's does anymore as their show was cancelled last summer over a "controversial" bit. It had to do with sex and a church. Don't ask.
